* Parents are not required to perform duty days in the kinders program. However, from time to time, parents will be asked to assist with supervision of the children on field trips and special events, and to provide various baking ingredients or home materials to enhance special projects in the program. If you are interested in participating in the classroom at any time throughout the year please let the teachers or the Program Director know so it can be arranged at a time convenient for all. Your participation is welcomed and encouraged.
* To keep you abreast of your child’s development, there is a formal parent-teacher interview conducted at mid-year and a full report card given at the end of the school year. Informally, you are welcomed to ask questions or express concerns about your child’s development on a more frequent basis. As well, because the BCCNS has an excellent teacher/student ratio (1:8 ratio) and a maximum class size of 8 students, our teachers can regularly provide your child with individual and personal attention in a caring and nurturing environment that addresses the social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs of your child.
