The Little School offers 6 Programs: Infants 0-18 months Jr. Toddlers 15-24 months Sr. Toddlers 2 years to 2.5 years Jr. Preschool 2.5 years to 3.5 years Sr. Preschool 3 years to 4 years Kinders 3.5 Years to 4.5 Years Visit our Web Site: http://www.thelittleschool.ca/. Program:1 We accept Infants as young as 0 months old. We have a capacity for 10 Infants under the age of 18 months. Our ratio is 3 Educators for 10 Infants at all times. Food is prepared on-site for morning & afternoon snacks as well as lunch. Infants go outside once a day in the mornings when the weather permits for stroller walks &/or to their playground for stimulating, developmentally appropriate activities.Program:2 We offer 2 Toddler Programs, Jr. Toddlers & Sr. Toddlers. Our Jr. Toddler program is for children ages 15 months to 2 years of age. Children must walk reasonably well and feel comfortable sliding down the stairs, feet first, and crawling up the stairs. The ratio is 1 Educator for five children for a maximum of 15 children. Our Sr. Toddler program is for children between 2 to 2.5 years of age. This program is licensed for two groups of 10 children at a ratio of 1 Educator for five children with a maximum of 20. In this program, children gain the confidence to succeed in becoming independent in the washroom. Both Toddler programs share a playground that offers a paved path, sandbox, and a variety of toys for outdoor play. Outdoor-based programs are offered during the summer and when weather permits to provide children with age and developmentally-appropriate activities. Our meals are provided on-site thanks to Farmboy, Sysco, Dumouchel Meat & Deli, Costco and Sealtest as our food providers.Program:3 We offer two Preschool programs, Jr. Preschool and Sr. Preschool. Our Jr. Preschool program is for children from 2.5 to 3.5 years of age. The ratio in this program is 1 Educator to 8 children. Our Sr. Preschool program is for children ages 3 to 4. The ratio in this program is the same, 1 Educator to 8 children. For children to qualify for our Preschool programs, they need to be as close to fully independent in the washroom as possible. Both Preschool programs share a playground with the Kindergarten program that offers a paved path, sandbox, a climber, and various toys for outdoor play. Outdoor-based programs are offered during the summer and when weather permits to provide children with age and developmentally-appropriate activities. Our meals are provided on-site thanks to Farmboy, Sysco, Dumouchel Meat & Deli, Costco and Sealtest as our food providers.Program:4 Our Kindergarten program is for children between 3.5 to 4.5 years of age and follows the curriculum from the school board. The program is licensed for a group of 10 children with 1 Educator. This program implements workbooks, math books and name books to help prepare children for school; our program is seamless, and we do not offer before and after school.
