Messaging childcare centres
How to start a conversation with a centre, what providers see when you message them, and what response times to expect.
Messaging is the fastest way to ask questions, request a tour, or follow up on an application.
Starting a conversation
From any listing, click "Message Provider" to send the first message. Every conversation includes the listing context, so providers know which centre you are asking about. The centre receives a notification by email and in their KinderPage dashboard.
What providers see
The centre sees your name, the child's age range or birth year if you have shared it, and your message. They do not see your full address or any payment information. KinderPage only shares the contact details you choose to include in the inquiry.
Response expectations
Most centres reply within one to three business days. If a week passes with no response, the centre may have paused new inquiries. You can message a different centre or come back later. The KinderPage team does not respond on behalf of providers, but we monitor message delivery so nothing breaks in transit.
Tips
- Lead with your child's age and your preferred start date.
- Group multiple questions in one message instead of sending many short ones.
- Be patient with smaller centres. Owner-operators often reply outside business hours.
