Submitting a waitlist application
How waitlist applications work on KinderPage, the status progression you can expect, and what an offer means.
A waitlist application tells a centre you are interested in a spot for your child. It is the formal step between browsing a listing and being offered a spot.
How to apply
Open any listing and click "Join waitlist." You will be asked for your child's information, your contact details, and the start date you are looking for. There is no fee to apply on KinderPage. Waitlist deposits are not allowed under provincial regulations in Ontario and several other Canadian provinces with equivalent protections.
Status progression
Your application moves through these statuses on KinderPage. The labels match what you see in your dashboard.
- New. The centre has received your application and will review it.
- Reviewing. The centre is checking spot availability or comparing applications.
- On waitlist. The centre has placed your child in their queue. You stay here until a spot opens.
- Offered. A spot is available and the centre is offering it to your child. You have a window to accept or decline.
- Enrolled. You accepted the offer. The centre takes over from here for registration and onboarding.
- Declined. The centre cannot offer a spot at this time.
- Withdrew. You can withdraw an application at any time before accepting an offer.
What "Offered" means
When you see Offered in your dashboard, the centre is ready to enrol your child. Open the application to see any next steps the provider listed, accept the offer, then connect with the centre to finalise paperwork off-platform.
